The beautiful thing about Impact100 Garden State is that you can be as involved as you want. We ask only that you give $1,000 and vote annually for the grant recipients. If you decide to do more, there are plenty of ways to get involved, from one-shot volunteer opportunities to formal committee roles. You can have whatever kind of experience you choose.

To learn more about any of these opportunities, write to member@impact100gardenstate.org..

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO CONNECT?

This committee is responsible for spreading the word about Impact100 Garden State activities internally and to the outside world.

Work to keep Impact100 Garden State’s members and the community informed about our news. Compose and disseminate strategic messaging via newsletter, email, and social media. This committee is great for women interested in graphic design, social media content development, marketing strategy and materials, photography, and press relations.

Join this committee to help educate and advance our diversity, equity, and inclusion mindset.

Help to raise DEI awareness within Impact100 Garden State and lead the development of practices that reflect our commitment to DEI values.

If you like planning parties, this is the committee for you.

Help identify and secure meeting space, coordinate catering, and assist with all logistics for member events and programs, including setup and breakdown, collecting RSVPs, and hosting at events (greet, register, direct, etc.).

On this committee, women who love numbers help Impact100 Garden State ensure our philanthropic reviews, grants, and administration meet our high standards.

Help evaluate the financial condition of grant applicants, manage expenses, and collect and log membership dues, gifts, and sponsorship payments. This team also develops long-range funding strategies for the organization and prepares financial reports for review and discussion at monthly Leadership Team meetings.

This committee is for members who want to partner with our grant recipients to set and monitor milestones and timelines.

Committee members should have experience serving on an Impact Grant Review Committee or relevant grant experience with a nonprofit organization, foundation, government agency, or corporate social responsibility department. Grant Administration members meet with grant recipients to develop and sign grant agreements, manage and review how funds are used, and provide regular grant reports to the leadership team. Serving on this committee provides an excellent opportunity to build an ongoing relationship with a grant recipient.

Learn about community needs, connect with other women, and share your insights as you review grant applications, participate in site visits, and recommend finalists for our signature $100,000 grants.

All team members receive in-depth training on how to review and evaluate grant applicants submitted by nonprofits in our community.

Work begins in January with training and culminates with finalist selections in May.

Recruit and assign members to grant review committees. Coordinate adherence to the “Grant Review Committee Responsibilities/Expectations, Confidentiality, and Conflicts of Interest Agreement” supplied by all committee members.

This group has subcommittees that offer opportunities for members to be involved and connected at a variety of levels of commitment.

This dynamic team brainstorms innovative strategies to increase and retain membership.

The membership team brings in new members, plans and hosts prospective member gatherings, and connects with women and organizations interested in partnering with Impact100 Garden State. The team also encourages current members to renew and tracks and analyzes membership data. There are volunteer opportunities at all levels of time and commitment to help maximize our membership and our pool of funds for grants.

Help us educate local nonprofits about our grant-giving process and how they can apply.

Communicating our grant goals, guidelines, and application process to nonprofits in our service area is an essential task. Most of this team’s work takes place in the fall. Members develop, coordinate, and run all aspects of information sessions for nonprofits so they can confidently meet our application deadline in February.

Sponsorship reaches out for support from corporate and individual donors to underwrite costs so that 100% of our member contributions can go to grants.

Help develop and maintain relationships with companies and individuals interested in supporting Impact100 Garden State, and cultivate donors that wish to support our infrastructure or sponsor our events. If you have a gift for selling and enjoy reaching out to businesses, this is the committee for you.

Use your technology skills to help our organization run smoothly.

This team evaluates, prioritizes, and addresses our technology needs and manages our website. Members develop an annual IT plan, evaluate IT software and services, and recommend procedures for database development.
