NONPROFIT OUTREACH CHAIR
Why did you join Impact100 Garden State?
To strengthen the impact of my contributions through collective giving, and to network with a diverse group of smart, caring women.
What do you do in your role as Nonprofit Outreach Chair?
I support the nonprofit organizations that apply to Impact100 Garden State by bringing their point of view to leadership discussions and decisions.
What do you love about your role?
I love being able to communicate with so many nonprofits across our 5 counties.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining Impact100 Garden State?
The impact of your gifts (financial & otherwise) is increased many times over through the collective community of philanthropic women. The work benefits the communities we serve as well as the members in our chapter. I am recently retired and greatly appreciate the purpose Impact100 Garden State has given me since that time.
What is your professional and volunteer background?
I spent 35 years at Verizon in a variety of leadership roles including field and corporate roles in Network Engineering as well as Global Sourcing & Supply Chain. In these roles I was responsible for regulatory issues, construction & permitting, contract negotiations, process optimization, financial efficiencies, data analytics to support desired outcomes, as well engineering and performance of the Network. I led large diverse teams and ensured they were high functioning and success driven.
I served on the Board of Directors for the Girl Scout Heart of NJ chapter and participated in many activities supporting females of all ages in STEM.
