CELESTE CAMPOS
Warren
PRESIDENT
Why did you join Impact100 Garden State?
I wanted the opportunity to continue my focus on improving the lives of women and children on a more local basis and had the opportunity to attend a Meet & Greet with members of Impact100 Garden State. I was immediately taken by the warmth, kindness and amazing work that was being performed by this group, prompting me to want to join the organization the same day. I felt that I had finally “found my people”. I was also thrilled that new members were encouraged to immediately participate, especially on the grant review committees, which is truly the heart and soul of what we do.
What do you do in your role as President?
I work in collaboration with the Leadership Team to ensure that we award the $100,000 grants to local nonprofits in accordance with our guiding principles.
What do you love about your role?
Learning about the various nonprofit organizations that serve our communities and enabling them through our direct support to make a huge impact in the lives of the people they serve. The opportunity to work alongside incredible women who are dedicated to our mission.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining Impact100 Garden State?
If you want to make a difference in your community and work with an amazing group of women, this is the group to join. You can feel confident that your donation will be spent responsibly and will benefit local nonprofits in a very impactful manner. You can choose to be as involved as your time and interest permits, or not.
What is your professional and volunteer background?
I spent 34 years in Human Resource Management, initially on the corporate side and transitioned to consulting, supporting large global companies, before I retired in 2022. I was recently appointed Communications Co-Chair for the Women’s Giving Circle of Southwest Florida and am currently supporting their ad hoc committee charged with a web redesign and software selection project. I also work on the Governance Committee for Philanos. I have previously served as a Literacy Volunteer, Girls on the Run Coach, CCD Teacher, PTO President and Vice President / Board Member for Warren Township Schools.
I have an M.S. in Human Resources Management and B.A. in Psychology & Sociology from Rutgers University.
