Apply for a Grant

Impact 100 Garden State awards high-impact grants to local nonprofit organizations. Every year we combine each member’s $1,000 contribution and together, in an inclusive voting process, we select the recipients. We seek to fund extraordinary programs that will make a difference in the lives of people living in Morris, Passaic, Somerset, and/or Sussex counties. Information about past grant recipients and their programs appears on our website.

2017 Grant Cycle

Our annual grant cycle begins in April and ends at our Annual Awards Meeting in November. Impact 100 grants depend on our membership totals. Therefore, we announce final information on the number and amounts of grants after our membership period closes on March 31.

Grant Categories

All applicants for Impact 100 Garden State grants must choose one grant category:

Arts and Culture:
Programs that develop, cultivate, or enhance the cultural and artistic climate

Children and Families:
Programs that strengthen or enhance the lives of children and families

Education:
Programs that advance or improve learning opportunities for children and/or adults

Environment, Preservation, and Recreation:

Programs that restore, conserve, or improve natural surroundings and resources, (including for recreational use); improve the welfare of animals; preserve buildings and structures; or support research, public awareness, or education relating to the environment

Health and Wellness:
Programs that improve the physical and/or mental well-being of people
